Congratulations to
the 2001 - 2002 Rotarian of the Year:
George Mitchell
The purpose of this Award is to
recognize a member of Rotary Club of Golden for service to the
club and community. The personal and professional life of this
Rotarian must reflect the principles of Rotary and the 4-Way Test.
One of my major goals this year
was to assure that every member of the club is fully informed.
George Mitchell has undertaken the regular publication of the
Newsletter with enthusiasm and consistency. He has spent countless
hours in gathering information, writing, and getting the
newsletter and other notices to all members.
He has worked year after year to
the benefit of the Club. He is a Charter Member, Past President,
Paul Harris Fellow and Rotary Benefactor.
I’d like to quote a part of
one of the nominations:
This Rotarian is always there
when you need him, without fanfare or false pride. George Mitchell
has our respect; he deserves our recognition.”
Sandy Algermissen,
President, 2001 - 2002
